St James Place is to the left, Mill Street runs right.

The pub forms the apex of a triangular block of properties which were were subject to a compulsory purchase order. After this the area was cleared. Roads such as Cotter Street, Cotters Place and Ryland Street which formed this triangle were demolished and disappeared.
