A spruced-up Farmers Arms in 1992.
This pub closed in 1999. By January 2000 it had been completely gutted by fire. It
was demolished in February or March of 2002 having stood from at
least 1847 when a pub of this name is shown on this site on an OS
map.
The building with the red gable end is still
there and visible in the Gelling
Street files.
Gelling Street itself has gone and in
2006 hoardings have been erected here, presumably in preparation
for building.
