This was located at the junction of Northumberland
Street with Sefton Street (The Dock Road) at the site of the Brunswick
station for the overhead railway.
It has now
been refurbished and although standing it is no longer used as a
pub. Outside were Seven Steps up into the pub, these gave the pub
its local name and were needed because of the sloping nature
of Northumberland Street at this point.
This picture from
Marky also shows some of the few remaining houses still standing
on Sefton Street.
