The name derives, of course, from the fact that this pub sits
at the boundary of Toxteth Park. Ironically the boundary
passes behind the pub meaning that the premises are not actually in Toxteth at all.
It is clearly situated outside and sits in the adjacent Parliamentary
borough of Edge Hill!
This is the modern building erected
in 1902 (the date is on the face of the building). The 'new' building
occupies the site of the older pub.
