Built between 1860 and 1881, this was demolished between 1960 and 1970.

Note the building next door (409). This is marked 'Crowton Dairy', the   entrance led to a dairy yard behind the shop front.

1881 this was William Farrer, joiner (although there was a cowkeeper at 403).
