The 1938 Gores directory places this at 100 Smithdown Road with the Twaite Holme Dairy next door.

The map of the time shows a covered passage giving access to the dairy yard, this is the pink,  shuttered opening downhill from the pub in this photograph.

This 2006 shot shows the pub in a poor state of repair. The building has since ceased to be a pub and has been refurbished, remaining in good condition, but unused, as of April 2007.

Hartington Road starts just off left of the picture and beyond this Toxteth Park Cemetery begins.
