1905

Formerly shown as 'Rockwork towards the head of the boating lake' , Ken Roberts has helpfully pointed out that this is in fact The Grotto.

The is the emergence of the remains of the Lower Brook after its travels from Edge Lane, across Botanic Park (where it is cut by the railway lines), down Spofforth Road and Webster Road, across Smithdown Road and finally under Toxteth Park Cemetery and (probably) Cheltenham Avenue. It sees light again in Sefton parl and flows to the boating lake where it merges with the waters of the Upper Brook which has flowed from Wavertree.
