The Pageant of Peter Pan

16th June1928

Mr George Audley formally presented a gift to Sefton Park, in the form of a statue commissioned from (the late) Sir George Frampton R.A.. The statue was 'Peter Pan', based on the book by Sir James Barrie O.M.

A Pageant was held to mark the unveiling of the statue and of 'The Jolly Roger'. Invited guests were entertained by a pageant and performance. Music (some written by written by John Crook) was orchestrated by Captn Bicks the bandmaster of the Liverpool Police Band, who played the music.

The day was organised by Mr Percy Corkhill. A fine programme was produced to commemorate the day.
