The placement of these
three storey tenements
is thought to be below Flint Street as no junction is showing on the picture
and the gradient is clearly downhill, towards Chaloner Street in the distance.
These buildings are therefore thought to have replaced the Saw Mill and Colour
Works shown on the 1905 maps.
The buildings on the left will also be
the remains of Saw Mills and Timber Yards. Boat
builders yards are further down the slope.
