The first cross street visible is  Norfolk Street, which cuts right across Jamaica Street at this junction.

The remains of the Phoenix Oil Mills forms the left hand edge of the picture at the jnction with Norfolk Street. An old Smithy premises forms the right hand edge.

Beyond are various warehouses one of which,in use as a hand car wash, has produced this early morning cloud of steam. The Jordan Street junction sits just beyond

In the far distance (left) on the other side of Parliament Street the Mersey Brewery is just visible.
