This shows Sefton Park School at the Smithdown Road end of Bagot Street. The toxteth boundary passes behind the school (left of shot) placing the entire school within the ancient park. The street to the right is the back of Thornycroft Road.

Notes on the back of this old postcard indicate that this is  'before alteration into the 'Holt Secondary, before enlargement and 'roof playground'

For a time this was indeed 'The Holt' before that school was removed to Childwall Five Ways. For many years the name was above the door.
