This was built by Cragg and remained in his ownership until at least 1835. It was a large house visible from some distance. This picture shows only one small portion of the front of this long house. It has a long stuccoed frontage and a moulded cast-iron porch with Craggs signature ironwork evident in the windows and elsewhere.

In 1884 it was purchased by the Sisters of Notre Dame and later became a hall of residence for their college. Extensive additions were made in 1960.

Christopher Kerr records that there "is an iron verandah on one side and an iron staircase with gothic balustrading in the hall". A robber bell hung on the roof of The Cloisters, above the kitchen, until 1962 when it was stolen!
