A photograph of rail lines along a man-made promontory off Otterspool Shore.  A crane can be seen in the background on the right.

The date of the picture suggests that these rail lines could have been laid to assist dumping.

Much of the Otterspool shoreline was reclaimed in this way using excavated materials from the first Mersey Tunnel
