This is all that remains of the clifffs of Dingle Point, buried
in refuse, rubble and topped with Mersey dredgings, the tops of the once before
wooded cliffs are barely recognisable.
The original river level is far below the point where the Keuper Sandstone breaks the surface
here
Much was buried under the former Garden
Festival site and housing now occupies much of this site, though
a few cliffs are still visible
near the Britannia pub.
