Wellington Road began at Grafton Street and the Herculaneum Bridge Pub (visible here on the left) and continued to Park Road. This shows the view from an upper room of the Herculaneum Bridge pub, looking towards the old corporation yard, and the Lavrock Bank refuse destructor Lockhart Street is just to the left of your view. The modern housing visible is typical of what now surrounds this area.
