Still with  the city behind you. I think the first road junction (right) is Dudley Road.

Just beyond the buildings on the corner are two gable ends which are Collins funeral parlour. Beyond this Smithdown Road swings sharply right but on the left hand side of the road you can just see the Tram sheds.

Just around this bend on the right hand side is the site of the original St. Barnabas Church, which was within Toxteth.

On the left of the shot in later years would be the Smithdown Road destructor and in later years, the Grand Cinema.

The Grand Cinema was on the opposite side of the road here.

This view is of the left hand side of the road at this point, but 55 years later than the above.
