A superb, (if rather heavily hand-tinted), photographic postcard dated 27th June 1911 showing an almost village-like view of the central boulevard.

The tram bears an advert for 'Crawfords' .

Just behind the tram are the twin towers of the Princes Road Presbyterian Church, at the junction with Warwick Street.
