Princes Road (1)
toxteth.net > places >  princes road

Princes Road was opened through in 1846 and named for Princes Park to which it led.

This view on 20/12/1928 shows where the single carriageway Princes Road road becomes a dual carriageway called either Princes Avenue or Princes Boulevard (and it is all called Princes Road on some maps!).

The Road side, in the foreground, has trams running along tracks, while cars move round to the Avenue side. The Liverpool Adult Deaf and Dumb Institute can be seen to the left, on the corner.
