Pickwick Street
toxteth.net > places >  pickwick street

Shown here on 17/10/2004.  Since it was originally built speed bumps and new windows have been added and the original 'York' stone pavements appear to have been removed and replaced with wider pavements of  badly laid concrete slabs.
A blank area (i.e. without houses) on the 'odd' numbered side is shown on the 1908 map.  This probably fronted a yard, it has now been developed with modern houses, the original terraces remain either side however.
Number 11 is shown (white house, central, yellow burglar alarm). This was the home, for many years, of Hugh Edwards and later his daughter Elizabeth Magee (nee Edwards) and James Magee.  One of their daughters, Marjorie Tomlinson (nee Magee), lived at number 15, the tan house behind the tree.

Here you are looking down Pickwick Street, the trees are on Park Road.

The map shows Pickwick Street in the very bottom left.
