Taken just outside the toxteth boundary
but everything in the shot is within toxteth! The boundary here runs along the
edge of the pavement. The junction with the window's cleaner's cart is in Embledon
Street. Just off the edge of the shot (left) is the Clevedon
Arms. This scene remained virtually unchanged for 20 years after this, except
(from memory) that the PDSA took over the Animal Welfare Society. Note the shop
of John Ralph on the corner to locate yourself on this sister
shot.
