1925 This photograph is of unknown provenance but
looks to of the type found on a pub wall.
The
sign pointing to the public baths (Steble Street) narrows this to
one corner as shown on the bottom edge of map 3b.
In 1881 this is a baker's shop, in the 1911 Gores this property
(249 Mill Street) is one Mrs Ann Daniels, greengrocer, who
is also listed under 73 Park Street! In 1938 it is Jack Vronofsky,
herbalist. The houses on Park Street will probably be
Nos 75,77 and 79.
From Pam "the
man standing outside the shop is my Grandad William Gee. The shop belonged
to a family member (the window at the side has GEEs written on it). He
was quite young at the time even if he is dressed like an older man! "
