October 2005
A street of close packed houses in poor
condition with outwardly bulging walls, curved and bent brickwork and subsidence
all over the properties.
It is famous however, for being the birthplace
of Richard Starkey - Ringo Starr of Beatles fame.
This is scheduled for
demolition, on the orders of John Prescott, another shot in the foot for Liverpool
tourism as there is seldom a day when I have been around here, even in winter,
when a coach does not stop. The Cavern was demolished - will they never learn
?
