16th July 1911.

A view of Dickens Street, from Upper Warwick Street and looking towards Northumberland Street, with several streets of terraced houses running off to either side. These probably equate to Pickwick Street, Dombey Street and Dorrit Street with Northumberland Street in the distance.

Marky tells me that the tall building in the skyline was 'Toxteth County Primary School',also known as Upper Park Street School.  It was demolished in the 1980s.

Trees are planted in the pavement of the street, and children play in the road.
