Beloe Street (2)
toxteth.net > places > beloe street

This is a view, from the end of Mill Street, at the junction with Parkhill Road (sign on left of picture).  This is the start of Beloe Street, which runs downhill from here.

Blackledge's shop on the corner is a bread shop, (James Blackledge and sons Ltd.) this was a local brand now vanished, but still in existence when I was a child in the 1960s, perhaps later.

The pub on the left of the picture, advertising Tetley's Falstaff Ales is, The Parkhill Hotel, actually at 75 Parkhill Road.  In 1938 Hector Howard Brunst was landlord.
