Aigburth Road and Aigburth Vale

vale

22 June 1927
Here you are standing in the dip of Aigburth Vale (off to
the left of the picture) looking out of the Park and towards
Aigburth itself (situated in Garston). The tram line is on
the right. The building in the centre is the Liverpool Bank.
The Toxteth
boundary
is in red. You are standing within Toxteth at the bottom of the valley of the old
Oklesbroke, the park boundary
since the time of King John. The stream would have flowed
down to the Mersey via the Otterspool in ancient times.
