Cantsfield Street is right of shot.

This former church is on Earle Road, and has been difficult to name, as its purpose and naming have both changed throughout its history. I have chosen to call it by its original name, by which is also appears to have been known at the time of the 1905-08 map series. Its history is below.

David Lewis in his 'Churches of Liverpool' refers to an 'Earle Road United Reform Church', I do not believe that he is referring to this building, nor do I think that his usage is correct, as he is clearly refering to the Earle Road Presbyterian Church higher up Earle Road, a building which has never, to my knowledge, been called the United Reform Church.

For much of the history of the building shown, it has been a premises associated with the Salvation Army although even then its exact purpose within that movement appears to have changed frequently

The following records from Kelly's directories refer to the building on the RHS of Earle Road, on the corner of Cantsfield Street
