This church stood opposite St Charles Boromeo
on Aigburth road, on the corner of Normanton Avenue.
The
original church was on Renshaw Street where it was built
in 1815 by Sir John Gladstone. This building was sold in 1892 and
the money used to erect the new church, designed by George Bradbury, on
Aigburth Road which opened in the following year.
The church
was certainly still open in 1951, probably later however it closed
and was demolished in 1976 - housing now occupies the site.
