Princes Road Presbyterian which has also been
called the Trinity Church, once stood at the junction of Princes
Road with Warwick Street.
The congregation first met
in 1864 but David Lewis reports that there is confusion over the
exact date of the building itself. The church was certainly open
by 1879 when it was joined by the worshippers from Hyslop
Street Chapel .
Through its history the church was joined
by others, as their churches closed. In 1926 Trinity
Presbyterian from Belvidere
Road and just before WW2 by Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Trinity
Church.
The church celebrerated its centenary in 1964 but
has since been demolished.
