Built around 1880 by a dissident group of 26 members from Myrtle Street Baptist Church this was designed by Henry Dumners who also designed the Greek Church of St Nicholas at the opposite end of Princes Road.

The foundation stone was laid, 1st July, 1879 and the church opened on the 20th March, 1881  

The church was demolished, probably in the 1970s and housing now occupies the site.
