This was founded in 1881 by a congregation
of Welsh Methodists who had previously worshipped at the Zion Chapel
on Chester Street, also in Toxteth but not figured on the 1905 maps
used in the maps section of this site.
In later years this
was used by a Chinese Baptist congregation and thus came to be known
as the Liverpool Chinese Church.
The church, which sat opposite the
junction with Warwick Street and the Princes Road Presbyterian Church
(Trinity Church) eventually fell into disrepair and since has been
demolished.
