Erected in 1878 by a congregation from Hunters Lane in Wavertree this is a brick-built building with sandstone dressings. It stands close to the Weslyan Methodist church on Wellington Avenue however the Free Welsh Church is within the boundaries of Toxteth.

This is also apparently known as the Liverpool City Mission Chapel.
