1871 A recent breakthough finds the family at 59 Gelling Street in the 1871 census all under the name of McGravey.  Mary, aged just 1 year, is with all of her known siblings (including Ellen who vanishes for the 1881 census due to marriage). With Mary and her parents, James and Mary, are her maternal grandparents and it has thus been possible to trace her mother's maiden name for the first time and re-affirm her London origins.

1881 Mary is with the family and although her grandparents have both now vanished, presumed died, remarkably the rest of the family are still at the same address in Gelling Street.

1891 Some time between 1881 and 1891 they family moved to 128 Park Road, which was to become the home of some of this branch (and relatives) for the next 50 years. In the census of 1891 Mary is a Milliner (dress) aged 20 at 128 Park Road.

1901 in the census Mary (Milliner) aged 30 born Liverpool and family are still at 128 Park Road, Toxteth, Liverpool.

1902 Mary died from Phthisis, (pulmonary tuberculosis) aged just 32 at 128 Park Road, Toxteth, Liverpool.  The informant is her sister Susan McGrevy who was living at the same address.
