1872 James is born in Liverpool in 1871 at 23 Mann Street, with parents being consitent on birth certificate.

1875  assumed to be with parents at 2 Court, Cooper Street when Charles is born in March

1881 72 Henderson Street, age 9 with parents, scholar, b. Liverpool

It is possible that he is the James McCullock at 11 Profit Street for the census, (adjacent to parents and family) aged 21, (should be 20 so would be 21 next birthday) a dock labourer, married to Isabella K McCullock aged 22. Although his age is slightly out this is the only occurrence where there is a James McCullock, born Liverpool who is a head of house, several spellings checked for surname.  Marriage certificate would confirm if this is mine but no marriage is found in Liverpool between March 1888 when he would be 16, and April 1891 when he is in the census. There are various possibilities

1/The marriage may have been missed, althoyugh several spellings have been checked

2/ The marriage was outside Liverpool - as there are several McCulloch marriages outside of Liverpool (See below) or it may be Scottish.

3/ Another possibility is that this James in unrelated and that my James has died or left Liverpool prior to 1891 census.
