1902 H e was born at the Four Elms, Welshpool and appears to have lived there until his marriage in 1927, when he gives this address on his marriage certificate. He is then aged 25 (correct), a motor mechanic.  His father is given as William Henry Taylor (deceased) a Steel Works foreman. Witnesses were Arthur Mansfield and John Roberts.

1927 Birth of Betty Doreen Taylor at Four Elms, Welshpool. Chares Frederick is an Automobile Association Road Patrolman, a job which he kept until called up for the army in 1938. See photographs in the album.

1928 Birth of Sylvia Joan Taylor at York Cottage, Llandrinis, a place called Crabtree Corner, just outside of the village which is close to Welshpool.

1930 Birth of Gordon Frederick Taylor at 11 Pickwick Street, Toxteth Park, Liverpool. Thisd was the residence of the sister of Gordon's mother, Mary Taylor. CFT was living at Henblas, Pool Quay, Welshpool at the time of the birth.

1931 Birth of William Henry Taylor, Henllan, perhaps the Henllan towards Denbigh. At some time after this, probably 1932, the family moved to a smallholding near Buttington, Welshpool, called The Rhallt. This no longer exists. BDC remembers being ferried there in a motorbike sidecar, along with the whole of the family. The date is approximate and is based on the fact that William Henry Taylor was still a baby at the time. CFT worked as an AA patrol man around the Welshpool area during this time and the photograph showing him with a robin was taken then. This tame robin, that came to his hand, was so well-known that the photograph featured in the local newspaper.

They lived at The Rhallt  until some time in 1938 when CFT was called up for WW2. The rest of the family left for Liverpool to live with the family of Mary Taylor (nee Edwards). They were later evacuated from Liverpool during the Liverpool Blitz and went back to live with Sarah Kate Taylor (need Pryce) at the Four Elms. Mary Edwards followed Charles Frederick around the country with his army jobs leaving the children in Welshpool.

1938 CFT was a reservist in the army and was away at times training, he was called up around 1938-1939 (7683751). His army record is currently being requested. During WW2 he was evacuated from Dunkirk between 26 May and 4 June 1940. One of the pictures in the album shows him at this time, with an army comrade who was unable to swim when evactuated at Dunkirk, but was told by CFC that he better learn - quickly!

1944 Birth of Yvonne Christine Taylor at 10 Holly Road, Aldershot where CFT was stationed after his active service. He was by then a motorbike and jeep instructor.

The family moved to Warwick Street in Liverpool after WWII which was close to where Mary Taylor (nee Edwards) had been born and where some of here family still lived. They later went to Melton Mowbray in 1946 as CFT was working for Major Norman (?Boot) for whom he worked in army, (if the surname was not Boot it was the 'Boot's the Chemist' heir anyway).

1947 Family moved, in October 1947, to Breck Road in Liverpool. For 18 months or so Bill (William Henry Taylor) and Gordon were at Wellington Road school, where Bill says the playground was on the roof!. It was during this time that Betty Doreen Taylor met and later married JJC.

After he left the army CFT worked again as a designer or artisan craftsman. Initially with a company perhaps making metal windows and later as a 'Foreman Lock Designs'.

1950s. In the late(?) 1950s the family moved to 47 Sutton Way, Ellesmere Port. Charles Frederick was by now an artisan designer working in Chester. They lived with their children William Henry, Gordon Frederick and Yvonne Christine until the marriage of WHT and YCT after which GFT, who did not marry, continued to live with them. Mary Taylor died in 1976. By this time and prior to his retirement, Charles Frederick, had already suffered two major strokes,  after one of which he drove home!. He  was hospitalised before the death of Mary, after series of small strokes, which contributed to his death after a long hospitalisation, in 1978.
